What is an Agent Meet & Greet?
"Agent Meet & Greet" is a service designed to help consumers connect with top-tier real estate agents.
Why it is helpful to meet a group of agents?
So that the attendee can choose from a selection. When it’s time to hire a real estate agent, often the person doesn’t know anyone well. Or, they have a niece who recently got her license, and maybe a neighor who who does it part-time. All agents are not exceptional agents. At this event, first of all, the agents are hand-picked by the organizer. So the group of agents attending are great. Then, to “drill down” further, you get to spend time and hear the presentation of each top-tier agent to find a personality type that connects with yours. To see if you feel at ease with them.
Why is it helpful to meet THIS group of agents?
Because all of these real estate agents are hand-picked. Andrea, the organizer, has personally vetted and selected each agent at the event. Being a real estate agent herself, she has assessed if the agent is experienced, knowledgeable, well-respected by their peers, good negotiators… that they stay up to date and are informed. Some, she has worked on the other side with them (buyer’s agent/sellers agent), so she knows first hand their skill set and style. She chooses only the top tier agents who embody experience, integrity, hard work and commitment to the best interests of their clients.
How does the event work?
Agents are seated at individual tables. Each attendee visits with an agent for 15 minutes. During that time the agent gives a short presentation about who they are the real estate services and approach that they offer. Attendee can choose just to listen and/or ask questions. At the end, the attendee moves to the next agent to learn about that person.
Could I just search on the Internet and call a few agents?
Yes, you could but the agents would not be hand-picked. You’d be relying on their marketing budget and their reviews. Reviews are helpful but they come from their clients. Clients often can’t see what another agent can see.
What can another agent see?
All agents invoive at least two agents (the sellers agent and the buyers agent). They speak often and negotiate with each other. This is how other agents get to know the skill level, work ethic and trustworthyness of other agents. They work closely with on a regular basis. There are salespeople who are just churning through people trying to make as many sales as they can. And there are the great ones who are really there to represent their cients and make sure they get the house at the best price. Their clients interests are thir #1 prioroty.

Is there an understanding that I have to work with an agent at the event?
Not at all! This is a meet and greet. Each agent will make a short presentation to the attendee about themselves and their services and approach as a real estate agent. The attendee is free to ask question and share anything they choose about themselves. If you are at the beginning of your homebuying journey, you may just be at the “education phase” and not ready to seriously speak to an agent yet. That’s okay! If you want to start looking at homes the next day with an agent you like, do that! Use this event in whichever way works best for you.
Do I have to prepare for this event?
Not at all. The agents will do most of the talking and might ask you a few questions. You are listening, taking notes and asking questions if you have any. That's all. You are at the event to assess if any of the agents appeal to you and what you are looking for.
Are the agents at the event all from one brokerage?
No, the agents are handpicked based on the exceptional service and expertise they offer their clients. They represent a variety of brokerages including:
How long does the event last?
About two hours.
